Sri S.A Selladurai was unanimously elected as the President of the Bangalore YMCA. He served as President. His contributions during his tenure as a Board member and as President are many. He led the Associations with vision, building up a better understanding, guiding the Association during critical days. &

His contribution to society in general, and to the Christian community in particular, will be cherished and remembered by all those who came to know him. The Biography of Dr.Joseph Selladurai: Dr.Joseph Selladurai was The Director of the Children in Crisis Programme of the YMCA. He was a Consultant in United Kingdom, Kyrgyzstan, Malayasia, USA. He motivated the staff to become active subjects of their own development and not only be passive objects of my action as Trainer. He conducted this Participatory ‘Training of Trainers Programme’ for twenty trainees spread over six weeks and made every effort to empower them in Social Work in the context of Moldova. (Moldova is the poorest European country with a population of around 5 million people.) He developed a core group of trainers from among the trainees and gave them assignments to carry on even after leaving the country. Dr.Joseph Selladurai was requested to facilitate a workshop on Street Children Rehabilitation and this workshop touched the delegates from over 25 countries and focussed on ‘Global perspective of Street Children’ and highlighted various approaches being adopted to Rehabilitate Street Children.
