Dr. P. Uma Sathyakam is working as Assistant Professor in School of Electrical Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore since 2012, from where he did his MS (by Research) in Microelectronics and VLSI in 2011 and his PhD in Microelectronics in 2018.
He served as a Research Fellow in a MHRD sponsored project on 'Development of online Lab in Microelectronics and VLSI' at VIT from 2009 to 2010. He was also a Research Associate during his MS at VIT from 2010 to 2011. From October 2018, He is working as a full Assistant Professor in VIT, India.
He authored 20 research papers published in peer reviewed journals and reputed conferences. He has also authored 3 books which are published by Lambert Academic Publishers, Springer and one self published book.
He is also a peer reviewer for many journals. He has reviewed about 52 papers till date for journals like Scientific Reports, IEEE Transactions of Devices and Materials Reliability, IET Circuits Devices and Systems, Micro & Nano Letters, Microelectronic Engineering, Journal of Computational Electronics, IETE Journal of Research, Microelectronics Journal, Wiley journals and others.
His current research interests are Nanoelectrodes for supercapacitors, VLSI interconnects, Carbon nanotube electronics, Graphene, Electronic materials, Nano devices and dielectrics. He is currently guiding one PhD scholar and has guided about 35 undergraduate and post graduate students.
