Writer, Researcher and Faculty (Biotech, nanotech)

As an alumnus of Tezpur University, India, I completed my M.Sc. (Gold Medallist) in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences (specialization: nanobiotechnology). Besides functioning as a DBT Research Associate- Bioinformatics in the same institute, I worked as an Institutional Post-Doctoral Fellow in the realm of silk-based biomaterial engineering and nanomedicine at IIT Guwahati, India. I was fortunate enough to discharge my duty as an Assistant Professor at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, Ethiopia, in addition to serving as a guest faculty at Dibrugarh University (India), Jimma University (Ethiopia), and Mekelle University (Ethiopia). A few of my accomplishments include the IASc-INSA-NASI summer research fellowship at the National Brain Research Centre, India; CSIR-NET junior research fellowship; DBT- junior and senior research fellowship; Canadian Commonwealth visiting research fellowship (University of Guelph, Canada); DST-UKIERI project co-investigatorship and post-doctoral visiting research fellowship (University College London, England); Young Researcher Award (NITT-SPIE and Optical Society of America Student Chapter); Young Scientist Award (Eudoxia, India); Young Scientist Award (IARDO, India), IOP trusted reviewer status, editorial board/review board membership of a couple of international peer-reviewed journals and authorship of a number of highly cited high-impact research and review articles in journals of international repute and a couple of book chapters. So, over the years, I have spent time in the classroom or the lab and in the swimming pool or the gym besides creating memories through traveling across latitudes and longitudes and trying out my cooking skills. Besides being a novice Youtuber (https://www.youtube.com/@dr.rockkon9211), sometimes, I do scribble my thoughts-and on some occasions, the alchemy plays it well to christen the scribbling as a poem or something of that sort. Hmm, after all, “True alchemy lies in this formula: ‘Your memory and your senses are but the nourishment of your creative impulse.’” -Arthur Rimbaud.
