Heemal is a recipient of the prestigious CBSE Teachers’ Award 2019-20 by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, and the State Teachers’ Award 2020 by the Directorate of Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. However, her biggest award is the smile on a student’s face in the classroom. She finds solace in knowing that she made a difference in the world, one student at a time.
