Anil Kariwala is a globally recognized entrepreneur and UN Awardee for Women Empowerment, leading a team of over 1,000 joyful individuals with three decades of business experience. His mission-driven organization, Kariwala Industries Ltd., manufactures uniforms and sustainable bags, exemplifying ethical practices, sustainability, and profitability, guided by the philosophy of "spreading happiness through business with principles of Dharma."
Anil is an accountant three times over by qualification-holding CA, CMA, and CPA designations and is a lifelong student committed to continuous learning. His executive education includes the latest from the Stanford Seed Transformation Program at Stanford GSB. Always in a state of joy, Anil defies what most would call a busy business schedule by dedicating time to teaching youngsters, mentoring upcoming entrepreneurs, and pursuing his creative passions. He has recorded 11 music albums, available on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon Music, and YouTube, and has held five fully sold-out concerts to raise funds for various charitable organizations.
Anil is a teacher at heart, and nothing satisfies him more than the "wow moments" of someone who has learned something from him. He also served for six years as a pivotal board member of London-based Sedex, the world's largest organization enabling responsible supply chains. With cross-cultural insights gained from traveling to over 40 countries, Anil brings a unique perspective on building joyful, sustainable leadership in today's global business environment.
