कहानी शुरू होती है दिल्ली के दरियागंज से | छोटी सी लड़की शीनू दरियागंज की एक हवेली में संयुक्त परिवार के बीच पली बड़ी | माँ को बस एक ही परेशानी है कि ये लड़की जब देखो लडको के साथ ही समय बिताती है | लड़कियों वाली तो कोई लक्षण ही नहीं इसमें | अब शीनू करे भी तो क्या करे? उसे गुड्डे गुड़िया से खेलना एकदम पसंद नहीं | उस के बदले मोहल्ले के लडको के साथ लाल किले में क्रिकेट खेलना ज्यादा अच्छा है | मस्ती भी तो खूब होती है लडको के साथ | कभी पुरानी दिल्ली के गलियों में मस्ती | कभी दरियागंज थाने के बाहर बने चबूतरे में बैठ कर दोस्तों के साथ गप्पे और साथ में पकोड़े खाना, वो भी थानेदार के भेजे हुए |

लेकिन समय अपनी इच्छा मुताबिक तो नहीं चलता है | अपने बड़े पापा, बड़ी माँ, बाबा, माँ, चाचू चाची, दीदी, भैया की लाड़ली; छोटी उम्र में ही दुनियादारी को समझने लग गई थी | बड़े पापा जैसे कहते है कि मेरे बच्ची को सब लोगो ने खींच के बड़ा कर दिया है | अब हालात ही कुछ ऐसे हो तो शीनू क्या करे ? कहते हैं कि समय के बहाव के साथ बह जाना ही तो ज़िन्दगी है | परिवार में ऊंच नीच तो लगा ही रहता है | दीदी के शादी के बाद जैसे हवेली में आफत का पहाड़ टूट पड़ा | हंसता खेलता एक परिवार टूटी हुए माला के मोतिओं की तरह बिखर गया | एक जीनु दादू ही है जिनसे शीनू अपनी दिल की बात बाँट लिया करती थी | अब ये जीनु दादू भी अजीब है | अपने आप को जिन्न तो कहता है लेकिन जिन्न वाली कोई हरकत उनमे है नहीं | बस नाम का जिन्न | वो भी कह रहा था कि शीनू जब बड़ी हो जाएगी तब जीनु दादू भी उससे बातें करने नहीं आएंगे | ये भी कोई बात हुई ?

His mantra that ‘simplicity has infinite depth’ also stems from this influence. This Mantra gets reflected in multiple aspects of his life. Universally known as Dada in the Market Research Industry where he has contributed for decades and is now running one of the most successful agencies with his better half. His interest in music and respect for his Manohari Singh nudging him to ace playing the saxophone at an age where others will shy away from such exertion. He was never formally taught to write Bangla but he became one of the most followed Bangla story writers on the digital platform that had many seasoned Writers. Circa 2019 resulted in his first published novel ‘Devgandhari’ in Hindi. Readers’ appreciation and motivation resulted in Chanchal writing the next novel. Women characters always play an important role in his novels. The stories become life-like around the narratives of the Women-Heros. It can be said that he is probably inspired by the literature Emperors of Bangla i.e., Shri Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay and Shri Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay who he has worshipped from his younger days. However, this conclusion is being left for the esteemed Readers to draw!</p>
