Dr M R Ramesh Kumar graduated from Cochin University of Science and technology and moved to National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula, Goa as a Scientist. He has excelled as a Scientist by participating in several oceanographic cruises the most important being a member of the Sixth Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica in 1986-1987. Dr M R Ramesh Kumar graduated from Cochin University of Science and technology and moved to National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula, Goa as a Scientist. Has gudied /mentored several students for their Summer Internship/Dissertation/PhD.. etc. He has popularised Philately by writing articles in Philatelic Journals, Bulletins, Newspapers.. etc and conducting workshops as well as solo exhibitions in different schools and Colleges and various other places. He is Life member of several Philatelic Clubs and Associations and has won Several Awards at the District, State and National levels. Some of the themes of his phiatelic interest include Antarctica, Cochin Postal History, Travancore Postal History, Evolution of Post Cards, Portuguese India, Gandhi, First Day Covers, Goa Culture and Heritage, Maxim Card, Scientists, Women Freedom Fighters of India, India’s Rich Cultural Heritage.
