Harish Chandra Sharma

Born in July 1938 at Mathura (Uttar Pradesh), Shri Harish Chandra Sharma was always interested in the reading, studying and learning about different subjects and topics. He completed his schooling from Mathura with laurels and also participated in various activities since childhood. After finishing his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, he joined Job and also targeted to achieve his goal of getting higher education, with the struggles and challenges of his life at that time. He achieved his ambition by completing his higher Education in Mechanical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University and kept working in various Government and Semi Government Organizations. But because of his deep interest in studying, learning and teaching, he chose Teaching as best suited profession for him. After a long and successful career of a teacher of Mechanical Engineering, he was superannuated as Head of the Department from Murlidhar Gajanand Polytechnic, Hathras (UP) in 1997. Having identified as an Ideal teacher, he was always bestowed with love, respect and regard by his students and the fellow colleagues.

During his teaching career two books related to his subject matter were already published, but after the superannuation he has totally devoted himself to reading, writing and studying Ancient Indian Philosophical texts. He has studied various Puranas, and other religious and spiritual texts deeply and given it a new thought with his scientific thinking, which has resulted into this Triology of Books. Throughout his life, he was able to maintain his philosophical and spiritual journey with the active support of his wife Late Smt. Nirmala Sharma, who was a simple natured, peaceful and cooperative lady, and always stood by him amidst of the challenges of life with dignity and simplicity. But due to long illness she took her heavenly abode in 2004. At present his two daughters and a son are well settled in life and are leading a path shown by their parents. He now lives in Gwalior (MP) with his son and family, keeping alive his only hobby of reading and writing, and trying to fulfil his goal of presenting Indian Philosophical knowledge in simple and scientific language.
