Khushi Bhurani lives between curiosity and courage. Born in Bhavnagar and raised in Talaja, She spent much of her childhood in a hostel, shaped by her mother’s dedication to her education and values. She went on to complete a BBA and MBA, pursuing a career in social media management, all the while nurturing a deep passion for photography and videography, capturing the beauty of nature, moments of love, and life’s subtleties. Khushi has always been a deep thinker, pondering life’s mysteries, yet something always felt missing.
Slowly, the Divine guided her onto a path of spiritual exploration, leading her to Krishna and inspiring her first book. Every experience in her life, the traumas, the depression, the love, the happiness, the retreats, the challenges, the heartbreaks, the moments of joy and fear, and even the quiet, ordinary days shaped her journey and guided her toward this work. Through it all, Khushi developed a practice of prayerful writing, reflecting on life, love, and the subtle presence of the Divine in every situation.
The First Time I Felt Safe Again grew from nights of fear, the small daily practices of gratitude, and the gentle voice she began to hear,  a voice that soothed, taught, and invited her to share. She wrote this book with one purpose: to remind anyone who reads it that they are never truly alone, that the Divine is always near, quietly guiding every step and every situation. Each letter is inspired by real struggles Khushi herself faced or witnessed in others, translated into gentle guidance through the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. Not everyone has the time or patience to read scripture deeply, so this book is her humble attempt to distill timeless wisdom into letters for life’s most personal and practical moments.
