Being the daughter of a judge, and having studied law herself, forceful arguments and standing for the underdog come naturally to her. All her writings echo her personality. Although she supports the empowerment of women, she does not consider herself to be a feminist. Women’s empowerment, in her opinion, can only be achieved if the society extends its support and understanding towards women’s needs while treating them with respect and dignity in all their pursuits and responsibilities. Her works showcase an exceptional comprehension of the male psyche and her female characters demand to be respected.
After serving as a Hindi professor and a Dean in the Faculty of Humanities at MD University, Rohtak, Haryana, she retired to Hyderabad with her children and grandchildren.
