Sukhendu Chatterjee

The author was born on 19 September 1938, in Giridih, in present day Jharkhand, India. His father, Shri Bholanath Chatterjee, was the head of the British India Meteorological Department of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. His mother, Shrimati Shobhana Devi, was the niece of the famous Bengali novelist, Shri Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. In 1960, he completed his Bachelor of Arts from Erving Christian College, Allahabad.
