Rahul Saria is a Chartered Accountant, a startup enthusiast, traveller, entrepreneur and a public speaker. He is a Co-founder at Nimble Growth Organics. He has served as the Head of Finance for various global and Indian startups (Near.co, Rentomojo, Vendatu) backed by marquee investors like Sequoia, Accel, Tiger Global etc. He has extensive experience in fund raising (debt and equity), finance controllership, financial planning and analysis, business finance and treasury function.
He has previously worked with Deloitte and has more than 12 years of experience in business and finance. Voluntarily, he has also headed Finance for District 92 of Toastmasters International, USA.
Rahul is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and also holds a degree of Company Secretary (CS), DISA, PGDBA, Certificate on IFRS; Valuation; Block chain technology; MandA from IIM-Bangalore and Certificate on Financial Modelling from EY. He is also a Ph.D. Research Scholar from Garden City University, Bangalore.
Academically, he was an All India Rank (AIR) holder – AIR 15th in CA Final, AIR 2nd in CA Inter, AIR 11th in CS Final and AIR 25th in CS Inter. He has been awarded “CA Professional Achiever – Services Sector 2016” by ICAI for exemplary work performed in Chartered Accountancy across India. He has also been awarded ‘RAJYA PURASKAR’ by the Governor of West Bengal for excellence in Scouting and Service to mankind.
Rahul is a veteran speaker at conferences and seminars and has also authored several articles in leading newspapers, magazines, and portals. He has been recognized as National Level Faculty for GST and International faculty for UAE VAT by the ICAI. He also deliberates on varied topics like business, finance, fund raising, taxation, MS Office, Soft Skills etc. at various corporate forums and startups.
