Skylie Rooren is a fourteen-year-old ninth-grader, residing in Bengaluru, India. She began writing this novel at age ten, while navigating school, academics, hobbies, and other classes. Being an avid reader, a science enthusiast, and fascinated by science fiction in any form, she has incorporated some elements of them in this novel, perhaps making a tangible mess of it in the process. She has taken part in and won a few poetry, essay, and creative writing competitions. She also shared the third place in the All-India National Spell Bee when she was in the eighth grade, and has won awards and distinctions in Olympiads. In her free time, she reads, sometimes several books at a time. At the time of publishing, those include “The Brothers Karamazov,” “Weird Maths,” “The Iliad,” and “The Secret History.” Additionally, she plays the piano, having cleared exams conducted by Trinity College – London, has been pursuing Hindustani classical singing for several years, has undergone many years of training in Kathak and Taekwondo, sketches if she finds an adequately good subject, researches random topics in astrophysics and mathematics, and when opportunities permit, enjoys surfing and indoor skydiving.
