Soumeek Chowdhuri

Brought up in a middle class family in IIT campus Kharagpur, Soumeek is a forensic expert with the Government and a medical teacher at one of India’s oldest medical colleges CNMC, Kolkata. A doctor of medicine (MD) who was awarded the prestigious international travel prize the Scottish award in 2015, he travelled to US for a fellowship in 2016 where currently he has academic and research collaborations. He has published over 35 papers in various reputed national and international journals. He has co-authored a chapter in the text book recent advances of forensic medicine and is reviewer for leading scientific publisher Springer Nature. A bibliophile and an ardent lover of cats he lives with his parents in Kolkata.
