"Virtual Wisdom - Successful Recipes to Master the Art of Being an Ace Educator" attempts to correct that anomaly. Through first-hand accounts, direct interviews, and countless reflections, this book chronicles the journeys that educators took with their students and schools during the pandemic.
The devastating effects of the pandemic were felt far and wide, and the education sector was no exception. This book endeavours to preserve for posterity the valiant efforts these brave educators made to rise to the occasion, confront the challenges head-on, and continue the learning process for millions of children. They share, first-hand, their recipes for being successful educators.
Their challenges, successes, techniques, and hopes are examined from a non-judgemental viewpoint, bringing together their experiences for future generations. In recounting, remembering, and reviewing these trials and triumphs, we gain valuable lessons. As George Santayana said, “Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it.”
This book ensures that the efforts of educators during the pandemic are remembered and learned from.

I can end up doing a thesis on rabbit behavior and their eating schedules and habits and care about them too, right from baby to toddler to adolescent to adulthood. Rabbitales –Tales of the Naughty Munchkins is my juvenile attempt at converting my thrill and delight with my bunnies – my adorable Munchkins – into a storybook.
It is said, once a teacher, always a teacher. The imagination and the pure joy of writing about their hilarious and often full-of-naughtiness antiques ended up getting an alphabet lesson incorporated into it. That came from being both a teacher and a firm believer in the fact that if a child picks up a book, in between its cover should lie a huge world of unexplored, explorable. My Munchkins play their part in my maiden venture. My paintbrush captures both their charm and my desire to dabble in watercolor after almost two decades. I hope others find my passion worth a pick-up and a keepsake.

After nearly three decades of working in Indian school environments, I realised that taking myself in an entirely unexplored direction may be the next best thing to do. Of course, I fulfilled the other two pre-requisites of Dr. Seuss!
My first book, The Deccan Trailblazers – Education Icons of Hyderabad, got me hooked on to writing with a purpose.
With The Cutting Edge – Iconic Schools, Noteworthy Curricula, Extraordinary Strategies I undertake one more journey as I look to dig deeper, delve into the important aspects of the different curricula, look at their implementation, the challenges faced from within and outside as educators make them work in the Indian scenario, examine proposed tactics, plans and suggestions as each examines the best strategies for our schools.
My book has four sections:
1.THE BOARD GAME – a section decoding the jargon, vocabulary and understanding of educational curricula prevalent in our country.
2.CHECKMATE – a section dealing with the comparative lexicon and implementation techniques of the major boards of curricula.
3.ALPHA GAMER – a section which looks to understand through profiling of educators as to how they employ innovative teaching methodologies with their teams.
4.MAGICAL WHITE KNIGHTS – a section which tries to understand the curriculum from the point of view of those stakeholders for whom it has been designed and who learn through it, with it and along with it each day through several years.
With conversations and dialogue, I attempt to unravel the mystery behind the official jargon, decrypt, decipher and reveal the processes involved, the game-changing techniques of the select learning centres/schools/leaders/teachers who break the glass ceiling with regards to understanding the pedagogical maze of this sector

“In the end, your legacy won’t be about your success; it will be about your significance and the impact you made on every student, every day, and whether you were willing to do whatever it took to inspire them to be more than they ever thought possible”
- Jimmy Casas
I read these lines somewhere on a school wall and they’ve refused to leave me.
The Deccan Trailblazers—Education Icons of Hyderabad attempts to portray powerful influencers whose legacy has inspired not just me but whole generations of learners, teachers and academicians.
The book has three sections:
1. The Exclusive Trendsetters!
It portrays the crème de la crème of leaders who, through personal example, influence learners’ in unique ways that extend way beyond their immediate arena.
2. They dared to dream!
This is a glimpse into the minds of some iconic educationists of the 21st century, from the city of Nawabs and provides insight into what makes them leaders who continue to change the tomorrow inside their classrooms!
3. The Unsung Heroes!
This one honors those quiet yet powerful educators who prefer their simple classrooms to be their karmabhoomi and change the world one student at a time.!
I hope this candid compilation of the thoughts, vision and far-sightedness will inspire others, as it has inspired me, to continue their own quest for excellence.
Wouldn’t be able to deny it entirely, now that the Corona Virus has literally ensured that most of the ladies, at least in India are riding broomsticks. I am too.
