Dr. Aruna Devaraj Rajendran, fondly called ‘Snake’ Aruna by many, is an eminent herpetologist, herbal scientist and a leading magneto therapist who pioneered the concept of Holistic Rejuvenation Therapy. She boasts of 40 years of experience in academic research and extension activities, has written for various publications and conducted presentations of scientific papers, workshops, symposium and seminars. The multi-faceted Aruna has won awards like The Best Citizens of India Award (2005), Sathanai Pengal Virudhu (2007) and Joseph Lister Research Award (2015) in herpetology.
She’s a resource person to various universities on clinical nutrition and biodiversity conservation of snakes and medicinal plants, is an expert on treating and providing first aid for snake bites, and has vast knowledge on Bio Entrepreneurship and Herbal Cosmetology .She conducts Holistic Herbal Rejuvenation Programmes for people from various walks of life.
 
Aruna worked as a research guide in Madurai Kamaraj University, and continues to research on herbal remedies with the motto ‘Give endless hope to people at hopeless ends.’ Her previous published literary works include a textbook and four health manuals.
