Dr. Purushottam Bhawre is a member of the XXVII Indian Antarctic Scientific Expedition. He worked at the Indian Antarctic Station Maitri as a scientist from December 2007 to January 2009 and established an ionospheric laboratory for National Physical Laboratory (CSIR), New Delhi, India.
