The Author was born in Dibrugarh, then a serene town on the bank of mighty river Brahmaputra in the Far East corner of India. This book depicts a story of a woman who travelled one end of the country to another end of it along with her relatives and a friend at a later stage of her life to pay her obeisance to Holy mother. But the destiny did stand on the way. After accidental separation from the group she got isolated. Thereupon she was subjected to physical and mental stress which narrowed down focus of her judgment.

The Author was born in Dibrugarh, then a serene town on the bank of mighty river Brahmaputra in the Far East corner of India. During his school days he had opportunity in reading many beautiful books of Assamese and Bengali literature, probably this habit he inherited from his mother. In college days and thereafter he enjoyed reading books in English literature. All along he is an avid reader and still enjoys doing so.
He is a retired Engineer by profession. After retirement he took immense interest in environmental and social issues surrounding him. Besides these he took interest in gardening during his leisure time.
Some unfortunate incidents happen to many of us in our life and such happenings linger in one’s mind and many a time it is hard to efface or obliterate from his or her memory.  One such unfortunate incident did happen a couple of years back to one of closest to the Author that still clings to his memory in vivid detail. The Author in this book ‘End In Oblivion’ tries to depict the sad tale of her journey keeping his imagination to the best possible limit.
 
The Author now lives in Guwahati, Assam with his wife Indira.
