Dr. Bharti Venkatesh is an academician, practicing Psychologist, Life Coach, Psychometrician, Profiler, Graphologist, and an expert facilitator in teaching Psychology, HR Management (specifically Training & Development and Organizational Behavior). She is alumna research scholar of FLAME University and IIM-Ahmedabad, and has over 25 years of teaching experience in higher education — from developing curricula and courses, implementing hands-on learning experiences (both in and out of the classroom) to inciting intellectual curiosity in students and inspiring departmental colleagues. In her prior role, she has developed a tailor made project based curriculum for Liberal Arts and Psychology — with the focus on integrating five tattvas and the essence of our heritage of Gurukul Parampara. Outside of academia, she is an independent consultant and delivers training programs on psychometric profiling, team-building, organizational and leadership mapping.
Bharti attributes her longevity to her passion for all things psychometric profiling and the desire to make a difference. In recent years, she is very proud to have conceptualized and developed D-ART (DALHAM Assessment Rating Tool), an admissions assessment to measure students’ competencies, and Human Factor Assessment (HFA), a multi-layered psychological test for Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools to identify students’ strengths and gray areas. Her work has been published in top-tier journals and has been presented at several top conferences in the field. Her current research interests revolve around using psychometric tools along with the knowledge of graphology. She has conceptualized and developed the first draft of standardizing and developing the Faculty Assessment Scale, which is at par with the New Education Policy, 2020. This faculty assessment scale is based on five different scales for primary teachers, secondary teachers, higher secondary teachers, undergraduate faculty, and graduate faculty.
Bharti is an active member of the Recruitment Panel at HPCL, Research Guide (for Management) at Barkatullah University, and Editor at Voice of Researcher. She was on the Editorial Board for the top-tier journals: a) International Journal of Business and Management, b) International Journal of Global Management, and c) Journal of Distribution Science, Korea Distribution Science Association (KODISA). Bharti has been a recipient of the Women Achievement Award 2020 (from the Government of Madhya Pradesh) and The Emerging Women Leaders of the year in Education & Institutes 2021 (from Asian - African Leadership Forum). In 2021, she received an appreciation from the Border Security Force (BSF) for the human factor assessment in leadership qualities.

This story about transformations began when the country was in the upheaval of ‘change’ when organizations were craving to cope with the opening up of the economy. Changes in national and global economies made all familiar things seem outdated. Organizations and managers grappled with the transformations required to respond to the changing business landscape and acquire the required skills and role orientations.
The transformation was initiated by some organizations holistically by the development of their employees across all levels. All organizations were concerned with growth, expansion, the introduction of new technology and long-serving employees. Most of them had not experienced other organizations, nor were they exposed enough to perceive the role-transformations required. They were devoted and knew their job and were perplexed at the external changes. They aspired to participate in the organization’s forward movement. However, their roles in the same or the new challenges were not clear to them.
Transforming Indian Managers explores through telling, analyzing and interpreting stories.
