Jayant is a painter, and he does oil on canvas. He has held 17 solo exhibitions. His paintings try to find the soul of the nature and exuberance of human emotions through dancing figures. His exhibition held in Delhi’s Lalit Kala Academy interpreted Ghalib’s poems through paintings. He has displayed his paintings in many foreign countries, and they have been bought by collectors in Russia, Spain, Italy, UK, Switzerland, USA, Central Asia, etc. His paintings have always been accompanied by small poems, as titles, written by him. Thus, his paintings and poems became inseparable. He has penned a number of poems and has done illustrations for them. Therefore, he decided to publish it in the form of a book to reach out to a wider audience.
Jayant has a fulltime job and travels extensively. He has lived in countries like Russia, Spain etc. and is fluent in Spanish and Russian languages apart from English, Hindi, Marathi and Urdu. Study of Marathi, Urdu, Russian and Spanish poems have made his expression unique, intimate and elegant. His poems do not adhere so much to the meter in classical style, but rhyme with rhythm; and that makes them musical.

The poet feels that these emotions are an integral part of this universe’s matter. One gets a trigger, a spark, and they are set to flame.
Those in love tomorrow may think,
Their feelings are not new but old;
As I know, yours are with me from ages,
Which made me wild and bold!
The book has a message that when a heart touches another heart, it creates infinite possibilities; as it is a huge step in the integration of finite with infinite. Everything about it is beautiful, the fall and rise; sorrow and joy; parting and union. It thus becomes the essence of life:
Remnant of our love,
Is my being’s essence;
Is summing up of my life,
On earth my presence!
Travel through these heartscapes. You will have a feeling of déjà vu.
