His paper “The Role of Folk Songs in Social Movements: A Case Study on the Separate Telangana State Formation in India” got selected for the 14th International Conference on Social Science. He has received the Telangana State Government Fellowship Award for his excellent work on Telangana culture and for attending and representing the Telangana culture in 14th International Conference on Social Science at Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany.

From the time of Telangana armed struggle to Telangana State formation, the role of folk songs has been enormous and has played a significant role in the formation of Telangana.
The folk song which has undergone metamorphosis into protest and the revolutionary song had raised the voice against all major social exclusion and inclusion indicators. Feudalism, social and economic exploitation, denial of power, resources exploitation, water crisis, underdevelopment, drought, poverty, alienation, suppression of cultural identity, social injustice, bonded labour, migration of labour, suicides, gender inequality and caste discrimination for separate statehood in Telangana are some of the major indicators.
