He is a published author of four books and lives in Hyderabad.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Krishna Murthy Punna went to Tirupati as a Bureau Chief of a then leading news daily. The author seized the opportunity to understand and explore the faith and power underlying the Seven Hills around Tirumala. The spirit of a rationalist, the inquisitiveness of the journalist and prose writing ability are all fused in this pictorial narrative. He finds the essence of Buddhism and the asceticism in Saivism and Sri Vaishnava rituals and worship. He draws from history, archaeology, folk songs and the glory and grandeur of Tirumala from 1C to now. Bodhisattva Balaji received appreciation from theists and atheists.</p>
