Manasi was born as the second child to her parents on July 18, 1969 in Ranchi. She lived with her parents in Uttarpara, Hooghly, West Bengal, where she completed her schooling. She holds a master degree in botany from Calcutta University. Besides academics, her other interests include singing, fashion designing and painting. She is a broad-minded person.
