A former Army Medical Corps officer, Surgeon Captain Mohan hails from a middle-class Maharashtrian family. After completing his graduation in medicine, in the prevalent situation, he volunteered to join Armed Forces against his parents’ will. He was commissioned in the Indian Army on 15 February 1985.
