Her co-author and husband, Vineet, is a diversely educated professional, a rank holder with an LL.B., MBA and MBFS-A to his credit, plus a special course in ‘Legal Issues in Infrastructure’ from IIM Ahmedabad; all that brings an all-rounder perspective. He has worked with eminent organizations like Airtel, Hutch, Reliance, Essar, and Aditya Birla Group, and he is currently working with GMR Hyderabad in a senior leadership position.
When Pratibha and Vineet experienced positive changes in their lives through Vipassana, they felt it important to share it with you all, with an innate belief that you will not only read the book yourself but also encourage others to read and spread its fragrance around.

As Dr. Kiran Bedi writes:
What makes this book an exceptional contribution is the authenticity and humility that flow through its pages. Each story is unique in the path taken, the challenges faced, and the context of life. And yet, all of them converge on the same destination: inner stillness and wisdom through self-observation.
What’s especially heartening is the authors’ engagement with each of these legends. Their curiosity is sincere, their narration compassionate. They do not idolize; they humanize. As we read about lives shaped by meditation, we do not just learn about the process — we witness the transformation. We see the subtle rewiring of thought patterns…
The power of Vipassana lies in awareness—of our reactions, of our judgments, of our impermanence. It teaches us to pause before we judge, to breathe before we speak, and to see before we act. It is not an escape from the world, but a training ground to live in it with wisdom.
By weaving Vipassana into real-life stories, this book transforms the concept of inner clarity into something vivid and relatable. It’s rare to find spirituality and leadership intertwined with such elegance and authenticity.
Whether you seek inspiration, clarity, or a deeper understanding of what it means to live with awareness and presence, this book will leave you enriched and empowered.

Vipassana meditation is the biggest gift to the world by Gautam Buddha. It is a technique of purification of mind and invoking its immense power.
“Vipassana means to see things as they are.” It’s a way of observing without any reaction…
This book encapsulates real-life experiences of Dr. Kiran Bedi, Madam Anu Aga, Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai and many luminaries on the path of Vipassana. We all know how

This book encapsulates real-life experiences of Dr. Kiran Bedi, Madam Anu Aga, Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai and many luminaries on the path of Vipassana. We all know how Dr. Kiran Bedi transformed prisoners of Tihar jail through Vipassana courses. If it can work there, it can work anywhere…says Kiran Bedi. We are also prisoners of our conditioning and vices, and Vipassana paves a beautiful way to come out of our cobwebs.
Madam Anu Aga (Padma Shri awardee and former Chairperson, Thermax) has also shared her life experience in this book… how she could tide over tough times after death of her husband and son with equanimity and sense of impermanence she realised from Vipassana, and thus revived Thermax as a corporate leader…
She says… I would want all the readers to know more about Vipassana through this book. This is not the kind of heavy book on meditation but a beautiful blend of Vipassana programme and interluding live experiences of Pratibha and Vineet, who take us through their 10-days’ Vipassana journey in a light and fluid manner. Their running commentary of the experiences and love for nature and birds breaks the monotony and makes it an interesting read.
Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai… As a Vipassana practitioner and son of a Vipassana teacher, I can resonate with the book completely.
A first of its kind book on Vipassana meditation, light and captivating, a must read.
