Saroj Chadha served in the Indian Army as a technical officer for 23 years and opted for premature retirement in 1991. His operational services included participating in the 1971 India-Pakistan war at high altitude and two years in counterinsurgency operations in the North-East. Thereafter, he served in civil corporate sector for about five years before venturing out on his own in the field of Industrial Automation.
