He has 25 years of work experience in various streams including Sales, Customer Service, Training, Credit and Fraud Control and Managing diverse background teams in a BPO environment. He has 21 years of rich experience in building and managing teams. During his career, he has managed teams of different nationalities, from different dialects and size ranging from a team of 80 to 1200 team members, spread over multiple locations in India. He has managed multiple processes in a captive International BPO. He also served as the centre head for a Domestic Call centre in India for more than a year.
During his work tenure, he had the opportunity to work with a couple of multinational organizations right from their launch to a fully grown and profit-making company. It was in these organizations he had the opportunity to understand and test his skills on people management, as these organizations provided him with valuable learnings on recruitment, launching a new process, building a cohesive team, dealing with people issues and managing a team. This book is written in a simple manner by highlighting an issue as the title of the chapter, presenting the topic from an Organization’s point of view, and subsequently providing inputs and tips for Middle Management personnel to follow on a day-to-day basis. This book will not provide any quick fix/magical formula to its readers but will probably equip them with one additional way of dealing with issues related to people in their team. The book is written in a comprehensible language, with no corporate or management jargons. Middle management personnel will find it easy to understand. Furthermore, to make the points easy to relate to, I have narrated a few of my personal experiences as examples, so that the readers can relate them to their work environment easily.
