Sudipto Lahiri is a forty-eight-year-old graduate Civil Engineer, and is presently working in a manufacturing/construction company in Kolkata. He had spent the early part of his childhood in Dhanbad, Bihar. His father had a transferrable job and Sudipto kept shifting from one place to another with his best friend – his mother. In 1976, they finally settled in Kolkata permanently.
Sudipto is married to his soulmate, Samrajni, who has been a life-changer for him. 
Sudipto has had a creative mind since his childhood, and was deeply moved by the authors – Rabindranath, Sarat Chandra and Saradindu Bandhopadhyay. Their stories and novels have been his companion growing up.
 
And Miles to Go – his maiden novel had been very close to Sudipto’s heart and through the characters he has depicted the different shades of the human mind, their desires, their virtues and their vices.
