Though reading is his leading hobby, he always had a keen desire to write. While he was in the USA in the year 2005, he participated in a poetry competition and was acknowledged by the authorities. His poem Extra Miles appeared in a coffee-book.
His desire to write finally took form in April 2015 when, after retirement, he attended a seminar on “Sub-Conscious Mind” conducted in Mumbai by Dr Sunil Parekh. He was asked to set a goal and achieve it in the decided timeframe. His 50th wedding anniversary was due in Nov 2015, so he thought of writing a book and present it to his wife. Tabassum Ka Iqbal is the result of that desire and commitment.
