The road from Leh to Hunder is one of the highest altitude motor able roads in the world! The Khardungla pass is at five thousand and six hundred meters of altitude. Army personnel advise people not wait there for long (hardly ten minutes) as there is lack of oxygen.
Vinay, born in 1953 to Neelkanth and Saraswati, was most difficult child among four other siblings. However, there was a great transformation in him over a period of time! He accomplished academic achievement by completing, Master is Social Work, Bachelor’s Degree in Law and PhD in Industrial Relations!

He simultaneously won Japanese Scholarship and studied Kaizen, TQM, TPM in Tokyo Japan.
An avid traveler in India and also abroad. He explored Europe, England, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Maldives, Dubai, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Kathmandu. He loves to be on his own and his solo trips to Israel, Egypt, Cambodia and Vietnam are recent ones.
Age is just a number for him. His most adventurous road journey, drove alone with Asha (wife) as co-passenger, was in 2018 at the age of 65! He drove from Goa (India) to Ladakh in Himalayas covering about eight thousand kilometers on some of the most dangerous, rugged roads and high altitude terrains of 5600 meters! It was during the time when there was militancy in Kashmir area and went through temperatures from 50 degrees to minus 3 Celsius!
He has varied hobbies like wood carving, crafting, writing, videography, painting, terrace organic farming, rain water conservation, etc.
His second book on the Himalayan journey is under publishing.
