Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalWhat happens when the love you once prayed for arrives at the wrong time?
Isha rebuilt her life from loss—
carefully, quietly, and entirely on her own terms.
She learned how to stand without leaning.
How to move forward without depending.
Then Aarav enters her world.
Steady. Present. Uncomplicated.
He offers something she never expected—
a love that doesn’t demand, doesn’t rush, doesn’t break.
But love after loss asks difficult questions.
Can trust exist without surrender?
Can intimacy survive without sacrifice?
And can a heart that learned to leave alone
find the courage to choose someone again?
Sometimes, the quietest love feels the loudest.

I’m Ekta Shah — a housewife, a mother, and now, finally, an author.
For many years, my world revolved around caring for my family. Like many women, I quietly placed my own dreams on hold. Somewhere along the way, I realised it’s never too late to return to the things that once made your heart feel alive.
I have always loved romance — the quiet kind of love that grows through patience, respect, and understanding. Writing became a way for me to explore those emotions and give voice to the feelings many of us carry but rarely express.
Better Than Almost : A Quiet Love Story is my debut novel — a dream I chose to complete for myself.
I believe stories are not only meant to be read — they are meant to be felt and shared. I enjoy listening to people, their emotions, their journeys, and the quiet moments that shape their lives.
If this story speaks to you, I would love to hear from you.
