Manish Prasad, Shikshaya Namah:, Something New Charitable Trust
Manish Prasad was born in the serene hill town of Kurseong in West Bengal — a place where the mist often whispered poetry, and the mountains silently watched over learning minds. Raised amid the rhythm of nature and reflection, he carried those early impressions into a lifelong pursuit of knowledge, meaning, and human potential.
He studied at Goethals Memorial School, an institution known not just for academic rigor but for instilling a deep sense of purpose and character. He later graduated from Delhi University, where his intellectual world expanded — bringing him closer to literature, philosophy, education, and the unfolding questions of a changing world.
Manish is an educator by profession and a poet at heart. In classrooms and communities alike, he has worked with young minds — not just to teach them, but to understand them. For decades, he has guided students across disciplines and backgrounds, helping them build not just careers, but character.
As AI and rapid technological change began reshaping the landscape of work and learning, Manish found himself — like many educators — facing new uncertainties. What would the future hold for students? For the jobs they once aspired to? And how should teachers respond to a world where even the familiar is now in flux?
Rather than retreat, he chose to explore. He listened, learned, and built this book — Blueprints for the Future: 100 Emerging Careers — as a bridge between confusion and clarity, between today’s anxieties and tomorrow’s possibilities.
When he is not mapping the future of careers, you’ll find him writing poetry, often weaving together themes of identity, society, and the silent transformations within us all.
