Kallol P Banerjee
Kallol Banerjee spent his professional life in sales and corporate training, but he identifies himself more as an essayist, poet, novelist, playwright, and theatre director. He is also an actor, having performed on stage, in television commercials, and in movies. After retiring from corporate life, Kallol focused more on writing and now has a book of poems and a novella to his credit. He has also written fifteen plays, which have been produced on stage by children from various schools in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, and Lonavala. During breaks in their professional lives, Kallol and his wife, Pritha, love to travel and are especially fond of forests and wildlife. Wildlife and nature photography is another of Kallol’s passions. Kallol and Pritha like to say that they belong to two iconic cities of India - Mumbai, the financial hub, and Kolkata, the cultural heart of their great country.
