Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh Pal‘CAT-o-Tonic: First Steps’ is a vocabulary enhancing and verbal ability exercise book for aspirants who have just begun their journey, which is going to be arduous and long. Written by an MDI Gurgaon Alumnus, who not only secured 99.40 percentile in CAT 2011 but also taught aspirants both Quant and Verbal Ability, for a brief phase in his life, the book is an easy to follow and understand. It contains high-value, high-frequency words, commonly appearing in Verbal Ability sections of various MBA entrance exams, such as CAT, GMAT, SNAP, etc., and even GRE.
It contains 60 sections for 60 different but consecutive days, meant to be covered gradually and patiently, and is deliberately designed for slow but consistent efforts, which pay the most in the long run.
To use the book effectively, one must not rush forward or skim through, but should go through the book, just 10 minutes daily, with deep focus and intense concentration, covering a new section every single day, for two months. Use this book in this way and notice a perceptible change in yourself as far as English vocabulary (intermediate level) is concerned.
