Haribhai Nair
Haribhai P. Nair s the founder of Haridwar Mitra Mandal Charitable Trust (HMMCT) and the Chairman of H Cube industries. He has made Gujarat his home for the last more than 26 years and hopes to turn the picturesque village of Palodia into a model village by building an orphanage and an old age home.
Having a profound attachment to the land of his birthplace, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and the land of Gujarat, where he currently resides, Haribhai Nair is a beloved figure among his friends and colleagues. Despite starting out as a humble laborer, his passion for the soil and unwavering commitment to success propelled him towards Gujarat, where he developed a deep affection for the land and its people. Throughout his life, Haribhai’s brother Bhaskaran Nair has been a pillar of support, and together they have overcome numerous challenges.
Haribhai’s journey to success was not an easy one. After leaving his job in Ahmedabad due to family issues, he went abroad and faced difficult times. He was cheated by an agent who promised him a better job, and he had to carry cement sacks in the Persian Gulf for two years. He realized that the thought of savings was holding him back like a mirage and came back to Ahmedabad to look for a job.
Haribhai’s two-year stint in Saudi Arabia was a turning point in his life, where he learned the value of hard work and perseverance. His work in Gujarat is a testament to his unwavering spirit and commitment to the people of the land. He has brought people together in moments of triumph and has helped them overcome adversity. Haribhai’s unwavering positivity has helped him overcome many obstacles in his life.
It was at this point that he considered the possibility of permanently working in India. He secured a job as a fabrication contractor through a friend and was quickly recognized by his employers for his tenacity and commitment. They offered him the opportunity to take over a unit and work on improving profits, which changed his life. He now owns H cube industries, providing employment for 500 people.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who believed in the realization of dreams through hard work, was among the admirers of Mr. Nair, whose life is a source of inspiration for both Malayalis and Gujaratis; furthermore, Mr. Nair actively participates in various organizations such as the Haridwar Mitra Mandal Charitable Trust, the World Malayali Council as Vice President, and the Gujarat Malayali Cell as Gujarat Province Treasurer.
