Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalComprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a Cytology Laboratory (Second Edition) is a definitive/latest guide designed for pathologists, laboratory professionals, educators, and trainees engaged in diagnostic cytopathology. Developed in alignment with NABL-112 (December 2024), NABH 6th Edition (2025), and ISO 15189:2022, this manual translates accreditation requirements into clear, practical and implementable workflows.
Covering the complete spectrum of cytology laboratory practice—including sample handling, staining, reporting, biosafety, quality assurance, documentation, audits, and training—this book provides structured SOPs, work instructions, annexures, formats, and checklists for daily laboratory operations. Emphasis is placed on standardization, patient safety, traceability, and continuous quality improvement.
Rooted in the philosophy that knowledge is the highest form of purity and progress, the manual echoes the timeless wisdom:
“न हि ज्ञानेन सदृशं पवित्रमिह विद्यते।” (Bhagavad Gita 4.38)
This book serves as both a compliance tool and an educational cornerstone for modern cytology laboratories.
