Dr. N. Samuel Douminthang Baite
N. Samuel Douminthang Baite is the second son of (L) Mr Thomas Lhunkhojam Baite and Mrs Elizabeth Nenglam Baite from New Keiphom Village, Chandel District, Manipur, India. He graduated from Don Bosco College, Maram, under Manipur University and secured 8th Rank in English Honours and holds a Master's Degree in the same subject. He also holds a PhD degree in Social Work and passed the UGC-NET (Social Work) in 2014. He served as a Guest Faculty member at the Department of Social Work, Mizoram University during the 2017-2018 academic year. It was during this time that he lost his beloved younger brother on 4th October 2017. At present, he is serving as a Guest Lecturer in the Department of English, Moreh College, Moreh (Autonomous). He is the author of the books ‘Unearthing the Swaddled Tales in Pu Solim Baite, Chief of Moreh’ (2019) and ‘Letters to my Dad’ (2024). He is a life member of the Indian Society of Professional Social Work and the Kuki Research Forum. Apart from his research work and teaching, he loves writing popular articles and poems addressing various issues and themes.
