I have been loved and betrayed. I have lived and given life, and seen death. Faced the fears, bypassed the taboos learned to accept. After all the yin and the yang, I realized everything is within. The fears, the beliefs, the joys, the sorrows, the limitations, and the confidence, every emotion is within, the cosmos is within.‘Fireflies in the Sunshine’ is about you, on you. It is a collection of simple words trying to rhyme to make poetry, and some anecdotes both trying to evoke an imaginative awareness of an experience or a specific emotional response. It is about each and every emotion, relationship, and experience that all of us go through at some stage of our lives. The intention is for someone to relate, connect, strengthen, learn, and grow. They are categorized into three sections namely love and betrayal, taboos, and me, myself, and I.
Like the fireflies that glow
Not just for love but to deter
Their predators as well
There is love and betrayal
There are taboos and acceptances.
Like all the yin and the yang
There is - we, us, they, them
And above everything, it’s me, myself, and I
Because I believe everything is within.
Let’s not perceive what is perceived
Believe what we read
Let there be fireflies in the sunshine
Light after dusk, sunflowers in the night
Let’s descry the hidden
Let’s conceive, what we discern,
Let’s keep our hopes alive
Let there be magic where ever we want
Because I believe everything is within.

I love to describe myself as a bohemian who loves to play with the positive and negative spaces on the canvas, computer screen, and words. Artist is a very powerful word to self-proclaim, however, I love to be artistic in everything I do.
As a child, my hobbies were painting, art and craft, sports, Indian classical dance, and writing. Over the years I have realized that I am more expressive and better off when I put my thoughts onto paper. I am an extrovert with some and an introvert with others may be the perfect fusion.
Almost, always self-driven from the heart I self-published my first poetry book ‘The Green Signal’ in 2019 available as an e-book and paperback on Amazon worldwide.
‘Fireflies in the Sunshine’, my second book comes from a much more evolved, awakened woman, who has grown positively with an aspiration to reach the stars not for money or fame but for the belief in myself, that I exist, that I am alive and always will.
