Prof. P. Ramachandra Poduval
Prof. P.R. Poduval (b.1938), a native of payyanur of kannur district, kerala had his higher education in St.Aloysius college, Mangalore, Presidency college, Chennai, Poona University, Pune and Harvard Business School of Harvard University, USA.
After a short period of 10 months of service as Junior employment officer under the govt. of Kerala, he made his choice for faculty positions in Universities - Demonstrator in Experimental Psychology, Lecturer in Psychology, Lecturer in Human Relations, Reader in Organizational Behaviour, Professor of Human Resource Management, Director of School of Management Studies and Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences in four universities.
Prof. Poduval retired from the School of Management Studies of the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) in 1998, He continued his service as Director in two other Management institutes. While he was in the service of Cochin University of Science and Technology, he was deputed to serve the Kerala Public Service Commission as Special officer for examination reforms and also as the Founder Executive Director of a newly established Kerala Institute of Labour and employment, Trivandrum.
In the research and publication field, he has to his credit 12 Ph.D awardees, 6 books including the present one, specific chapters in 6 books of reading and more than 50 research papers/articles in professional and popular journals.
