Post graduate in Physics from Nagpur University, Associated Member of Institution of Engineers, India (Metallurgical Engineering), Doctorate in Metallurgical Engineering (Mumbai University).
Hobbies include cycling, trekking, travelling, photography, yoga and writing.
Major cycling rides are Koteshwar (Gujarat) - Kibithoo (Arunachal Pradesh) (K2K, West to East), Narmada Parikrama, Manali-Leh-Khardung La, Mumbai-Kolkata, Mumbai-Ajmer, Mangalore-Kanyyakumari-Rameshwaram-Dhanushkodi, Mumbai-Panaji, Panaji-Mumbai, Mumbai-Mapusa-Murdeshwar.
Apart from the above, cycling rides in Goa State, Leh-Ladakh, Nainital-Ranikhet, Jaisalmer, Jim Corbett and Jalori pass.
Trekking includes Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through Lipulekh pass by trekking route, Batal-Chandratal-Baralacha La, Hamata pass, Dalhousie, Valley of Flowers, and Sandak Phu in the Himalaya.
Other treks done are in Maredumilli forest trek (Andra Pradesh), Western ghat trek (Ooty region, Tamil Nadu), Chikmangalur region (Karnataka), Goa, Sundarban (West Bengal), Caving and trekking in Mizoram. Also many treks in the Sahyadri (Maharashtra) range.
Travelled to most parts of India including North East and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and also Nepal, Europe and the United States.
