Kids stories by a young writer is a book written by Pranav H Mathad, He is a 7 year old student from St. Peter's school, Bengaluru. He aims to encourage children to read books, he has a good collections more than 1000 books in his shelf and is a voracious reader. He thought he too could write books and this is his first attempt to put his creativity on paper. The stories are short and sweet with a moral at the end. Pranav wants to ignite thoughts in the readers mind and wish they too contribute back to society by being good, humble and concerned. Some moral are even apt for adults. These stories are ignited either by reading some books or seeing real life scenarios. All Illustrations depicted in the book are by Vaishnavi, a teenager who has been sketching for a while and has put life to Pranav’s stories with good colorful visuals.

Vaishnavi is an ardent art lover, be it painting, pencil sketch, charcoal art or the like., she delves into it for hours on end when inspired. she started at the age of four, trying her hand at various crafts, papercraft being her favourite. Her tryst with her first drawing was of a bald fat man on a weighing scale. It was in a cartoon form which was pen drawn in one go. From then on there was no looking back. Pampered with colouring books, shading books. She has dreams of pursuing interior designing as a carrier. She has been lucky to have an opportunity to contribute illustrations for this book.
