Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalIn the broadest sense, politics is about power, submission, resistance, and morality. One of the best-known African postcolonial writers working today, Ngugi Wa Thiong’o, has always piqued my interest due to the political fervour that permeates his writing. Ngugi’s writings have received extensive critical analysis from the academics all around the world. This made entering the field a challenging endeavour. He is now well known for his advocacy on behalf of the underprivileged in his writing. My approach to Ngugi’s writings may be criticized for focusing on a neglected area of literary criticism.
