One of the primary economic hurdles my opinion identifies is the exorbitant cost associated with space travel . My view frequently points out that the current price points for suborbital and orbital flights remain prohibitively high for the vast majority of the global population, limiting the market to ultra-high-net-worth individuals ]. This high cost is driven by several factors, including the complexity and expense of rocket manufacturing, launch operations, and the specialized training and infrastructure required for space tourism missions . My view suggests that for space tourism to transition from a niche luxury to a more mainstream industry, a dramatic reduction in launch costs is imperative . My view often references the concept of economies of scale and reusable rocket technology as critical enablers for this cost reduction, drawing parallels to the early days of commercial aviation where initial costs were high but decreased significantly with technological maturity and increased demand .
