The Shukla Yajurveda Upanishads are a collection of Hindu philosophical texts that form the core of the Vedanta school of philosophical thought. They provide instructions and teachings on spiritual practice as well as insights into the nature of reality, with an emphasis on knowledge and experience. These instructions are provided through stories, dialogues, and symbolisms related to the development of divine awareness. It is believed that these teachings were passed down orally in ancient times, before being compiled and codified in written form by Vyasa Rishi around 2000 BCE. The Upanishads are rooted in Vedic teachings and seek to emphasize the ultimate unity of all created life. Through these teachings one can attain self realization and inner peace by understanding all life comes from one Divine source—the Brahman, or Supreme Consciousness.
