Dr. Krishna Kumar Sahu retired from his position as a Professor in the University Department of Botany, L.N. Mithila University in Darbhanga, Bihar. During his distinguished career, he made significant contributions to the academic field, particularly in the study of Algae, by supervising many theses, publishing a book on Mushroom, with another book on Algal Cytological Techniques (forthcoming), presenting numerous research papers at both national and international conferences, and successfully handling a UGC research project and availed the prestigious UGC Teacher Fellowship.
Dr. Sahu has a diverse range of interests, including his development of statistical analysis software during his doctoral research in the late 1980s when the field of Computer Science was not well-developed, and resources were limited. He also held the administrative position of Development Officer at the university while maintaining his regular teaching and research activities. Dr. Sahu has a strong interest in astronomy and technology and is continually exploring new fields of study.
In addition, Dr. Sahu has a keen interest in child psychology, believing that good education for children should be the primary role of society. As a hobby, he has read several books and research papers on the subject, furthering his knowledge and understanding of this field.
