This book is born from a unique and harmonious partnership, blending a lifetime of dedicated yogic practice with years of masterful storytelling.
Prema Rajesh is the heart and soul of this work. A certified Yoga Teacher from the revered Yoga Institute in Mumbai—one of India's four authentic pillars of yogic education—she has spent the last twenty years as a dedicated teacher. Her path, however, began in the demanding world of corporate finance. After a decade navigating the pressures and complexities of the financial sector, she chose to follow a deeper calling: to teach, to nurture, and to heal. Today, she shares her wisdom through personalized tuitions and, with great passion, coaches and educates children from the underprivileged sections of society.
Her yoga practice is an extension of this service. Prema conducts specialized classes for women, creating a supportive space for their well-being, and offers therapeutic guidance for those managing lifestyle diseases and chronic ailments. Her journey—from the boardroom to the classroom, and from corporate stress to inner stillness—gives her a rare and authentic voice to speak on the transformative power of Yoga & Pranayama. This, her first book, is the culmination of that journey.
Rajesh Seshadri is the structural architect of this book, bringing his vast experience as a writer to give form to Prema's vision. A prolific author of nearly thirty books, Rajesh has explored a rich tapestry of genres. From the pragmatic insights of his Corporate Compass Series to the profound spiritual inquiries of the Sacred Dialogue Series and the cultural explorations of the Heartbeats of India Series, his work is marked by depth and diversity. His fiction spans mythological thrillers, murder mysteries, and metaphysical suspense, all drawing from his three-decade career in the corporate world, including twenty years in C-suite leadership roles.
In this collaboration, Rajesh has channelled his expertise in writing and his deep respect for the subject to help craft a book that is both an authoritative guide and an inspiring companion for the reader's journey.
Prema and Rajesh are husband and wife, and they live in Mumbai, where they continue their respective journeys of teaching, writing, and living the principles shared in these pages.
