For centuries, fairy tales and folk lore have fascinated people of all ages. Elements of magic, wonder and the presence of extra-natural beings have added to their charm. But there remain some issues that need to be addressed. This work aims to examine the issues pertaining to gender, violence and superstitious beliefs that abound in the fairy tales.
