Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalI’m scared God would turn me away and ask me not to taint his halls, I say as the
musings that never left the confines of my mind lay open for the world to see.
A collection of such musings in the form of poems. This work is a home with open doors for the people who are just beginning to comprehend love, hurricane-like family dynamics, or to understand their own identity. It is for those whose friends are both saviors and downfalls and wholly for those who feel their emotions are too big for this one world. Through these poems, Uyire, by Nhantinii Ram welcomes readers to find themselves not mirrored but echoed. You may call the young inexperienced, but who, if not the young, has lived every newly evolved hurdle the world throws at them? The author believes many will resonate with her words, and by sharing them, the hope is to offer a cathartic release to those who chart the same seas.
Nhantinii Ram
The author, Nhantinii Ram, is an eighteen-year-old living in Malaysia and currently studying to become a teacher of literature. But more profoundly, she is an eighteen-year-old who has an abundant emotional capacity but a memory that lives in hours rather than years. However, though not living for more than a mere decade, she has lived so thoroughly and gathered emotions and moments that will continue to impact who she is and will be for the rest of her existence. By way of this collection, Nhantinii Ram is attempting to capture and share those moments from silent joy to wailing sorrows. Though others have talked about love and loss, she believes the way she voices it is still yet to be mimicked. Nhantinii Ram intends for her words to be a companion in solidarity and her journey, an acknowledgement that you are not alone.
