Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalDuring February which falls in Frosty Winter Lapland experiences the coldest days of the year. During this season the landscape is covered in a blanket of white from Frost, Snow and Ice.
That “Winter Wonderland” is what Kamal Chilaka set out to capture during mid February 2018.
In this book, he has attempted to share with you the same sensory feelings he experienced in those sub-zero temperatures as he stood there taking in the cold clean winter air and trekking in ankle-deep snow past Frozen Streams, Intimate landscapes, snow-covered cabins, and magical frost covered trees.
Has he succeeded in doing that? That is a question only you the viewer can answer.
This book contains over 36 exhibit quality images from his Lapland adventure. The large format of this coffee table book should surely transport you to Lapland in the middle of winter.
“Chilaka’s pictures are an astounding record of a phenomenal land and a reminder that the North is dark and true and tender.”
