Rohit Saikia, born and brought up in one of the famous and disciplined industrial town Duliajan located in Dibrugarh district, Assam particularly known for its oil related industry, Oil India Limited. He originally hails from Namti, Sivasagar well known for its glorious historical monuments. He completed his schooling and Class 12th in Science stream from St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Duliajan. He represented Duliajan twice in All Assam Chess Championship held in Guwahati and also participated in State level 100m race. He completed his graduation from Jorhat Engineering College, Assam in Mechanical Engineerin. He was invited as a Guest speaker in Guwahati University, Dibrugarh University, Tezpur University, Kaziranga University and All India Radio, Dibrugarh. In addition, he was awarded the National Futurepreneur Award, 2018 by TATA Institute of Social Sciences, Tuljapur, Maharashtra. Formerly, he acted as a resource person at Dibru College and MDKG College, Dibrugarh besides, he was invited as a Guest speaker in one of the local news channel to express his views on politics and its chain reaction. He is also an Entrepreneur and is the founder of Ethnoshopping, a social venture aimed at promoting the products of local artisans and giving them a platform to showcase the rich culture and tradition of Assam at global level. Apart from that, he is an avid traveller and has travelled across many parts of India. Right now he is engaged in various social fields and working diligently towards the upliftment of the society
